Dear Partners & Friends,
In all of these many years of writing to you from Daystar, I don’t remember writing to you about prayer. But I feel definitely led to speak to you today from my heart about prayer!
Prayer is powerful! Prayer is communication with God; not just telling God what you want or need, but also stopping to listen to what God has to say to you either through a still small voice, an inner knowing, a strong impression, a clear thought in your mind, a Scripture, a song, or even a dream or vision!
You don’t have to know a lot about the Bible to pray. You don’t have to use long words to pray. And you don’t have to say anything out loud to pray. Plus, you don’t have to take a long time to pray. Smith Wigglesworth was called the “Apostle of Faith.” He lived in the United Kingdom from 1859 – 1947. He was a powerful Evangelist and supposedly had fourteen people raised from the dead, including his own Wife, Polly!
Smith Wigglesworth said, “I probably never prayed an hour, but I probably never went an hour without praying.”
I Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing.”
You can’t have “answers to prayer” unless you pray!
There are several things you can do to make it easier to pray and make your prayers more effective:
- Create an atmosphere for prayer
- Put on some worship music (Maybe Joni and the Daystar Singers)
- Put on the Bible on audio
- Turn off the TV, your phone, your computer, your radio
- Create a special place to pray, like a closet or guest bedroom
- Put on headphones with worship music or Scriptures on audio
- Begin reading the Bible and then stop and talk to God about what you read. Then get quite and listen to what God says to you.
And I feel strongly led to tell you that God is getting ready to answer your prayers like never before! So get ready for God to move on your behalf, heal your body, take care of your children, and meet your financial needs!
Joni & I, and the Lamb family want to thank you for being faithful to your pledges. Heart for the World is March 2 – 9. So I hope you will do like Jesus said and “Watch & Pray!”
Yours for Christian Television,
